Babbo (Greenwich Village) 110 Waverly Place (East of 6th Ave) (212) 777-0303 Reservations Required Babbo is one of Mario Batali’s (of TV’s Food Network) restaurants. Babbo is fine dining at its very best. Batali does an excellent job fusing fine dining with Greenwhich Village flare, hip music and exemplary service. Babbo not only features gourmet Italian food but an extensive wine list as well. You can spend over $1,000 on a bottle of wine at Babbo. Both the food and wine menu are complex. When the sommelier asked if I would like some help I asked him to have a seat. He was very helpful... He helped me choose my meal and a wonderful bottle of wine for under $100. I never knew a pork chop could be so absolutely exquisite. If you choose to go, bring your wallet and your palette. |
