Sammy’s (West Village) 453 6th Ave. (Btw W. 10th and 11th St) 212-924-6688 *Multiple Locations Sammy’s is a noodle shop and grill. It’s not exactly a fancy joint but its décor is hip and modern and its menu is noticeably better than most Chinese restaurant’s. I love this place for its roasted pork, unique noodle dishes and food served up on sizzling hot platters. Sammy has quite a racket going along his section of 6th Avenue. In addition to his restaurant he’s also got a breakfast spot and another restaurant. I’ve never eaten in either, but my guess is that they’re both above par. If I ever find myself in Sammy-land for breakfast, I’ll be sure to stop in. |
